We are please to inform you that Voilà par/by Andreanne's Bamboo fabric is certified with Okeko-Tex Certification, Product Class 1. (Class 1 happens to be the strictest certification)

About our Fabrics:

Viscose of Bamboo/ Organic Cotton

Viscose of Bamboo is a strong, easy to grow plant that requires no chemicals or irrigation other than the rain that falls from the sky. As a fabric, it has natural anti-bacterial properties, and wicks moisture to keep you cool and dry. It dries faster than cotton and has natural UV protection. Viscose of Bamboo is a readily renewable resource that does not require pesticides or even fertilizers to grow.

Organic cotton is grown using methods and materials that have a low impact on the environment. Organic production systems replenish and maintain soil fertility, reduce the use of toxic and persistent pesticides and fertilizers, and build biologically diverse agriculture. Third-party certification organizations verify that organic producers use only methods and materials allowed in organic production. Organic cotton is grown without the use of toxic and persistent pesticides and synthetic fertilizers. In addition, federal regulations prohibit the use of genetically engineered seed for organic farming. All cotton sold as organic in the United States and Canada must meet strict federal regulations covering how the cotton is grown.

Why wear organic?

Organic cotton is about so much more than just protecting your skin from toxic chemicals—although that’s definitely a bonus! Organic cotton farming also means that the land and the farmers who till it both receive tremendous benefits.

Good for your skin and the environment!

Fabric Care instruction for Voilà par/by Andréanne clothing;

Viscose from Bamboo/ organic cotton is as easy to care for as any cotton t-shirt, with one exception: it is heavy when wet. We recommend washing on the delicate cycle with similar soft garments (not rough denim or your son’s Velcro gym shorts).

For best results:

  • - wash cold delicate cycle
  • - hang to dry
  • - garments may shrink a max 3% if washed and dried in hot water
  • - If your garment is color blocked then the best way to avoid bleeding is to wash in cold water and immediately remove the garment and hang it to dry
  • - For all painted garments, turn it inside out before dropping it in the wash, this will help keep the color.

Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 for textile products

Confidence in textiles – this has been the motto of the independent test institutes of the International Oeko-Tex® Association since 1992, with their tests for harmful substances according to Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 for textile products of all types which pose no risk whatsoever to health.

For companies in the textile and clothing industry, the Oeko-Tex® criteria catalogue provides for the very first time a uniform, scientifically founded evaluation standard for the human ecological safety of textiles, against the background of the globalised and extremely fragmented nature of the textile manufacturing chain.

The Oeko-Tex® label indicates to interested end users the additional benefits of tested safety for skin-friendly clothing and other textiles. In this way, the test label provides an important decision-making tool when purchasing textiles.

Confidence in textiles – an international synonym for responsible textile production – from the raw material to the finished product on the shop shelves. For industry and retailers throughout the textile manufacturing chain just as well as for users of fashionable, functional, colourful textiles.
