Cotton/Spandex

Organic Cotton 92% / 8% Spandex

Cotton is a natural fibre of vegetable origin, like linen, jute or hemp. Mostly composed of cellulose (a carbohydrate plant substance) and formed by twisted, ribbon-like shaped fibres, cotton is the fruit of a shrubby plant commonly referred to as the "cotton plant".

We use a Fair Trade organic cotton compact yarn blend with spandex. This blend is knitted in Toronto, Canada and its blend makes it easier for the fabric to mold the body and return to its shape.

More about Compact Yarn:

Compact Spinning is basically designed to control those protruding fibers (uncontrolled fibers) which have become the part of the yarn but have no role in the yarn formation and ultimately no contribution to yarn strength, but rather an adverse effect on subsequent processes.
The yarn achieved in this way had better & uniform yarn formation, and better strength & elongation. The advantages of Compact yarn as compared with conventional ring yarn are:

- Increased yarn Strength & Elogation

- Reduction in yarn Hairiness (reduces fluff and softer hand)
